Launching the 'Mum Review' - Time to get serious about Post natal recovery

So, I have two children and I know just how busy that first post natal year in particular can be. Your time is spent on nurturing your new family, watching your growing child - keeping checks on their health and milestones, keeping them entertained (and to get out of the house and meet other adults!) planning nursery places and a return to work. Oh, I'm forgetting the extreme tiredness and sleep deprivation aspects too! It is a time where you can be quite 'time poor' so you can have little time for yourself and it isn't always a time where you put your own health needs first. As wonderful as this time can be, it is also a time that can create a lot of stress and anxiety, and this can be especially difficult if you have your own health issues. What we do know is that pregnancy and the activities of a new Mum can place great changes and stresses on your body. This can lead to many issues such as: abdominal muscle separation, problems with incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, joint and muscle pain, unhappiness with your body image and poor energy levels. These are issues that many women put up with, and carry on with, but they can have a significant and detrimental effect on quality of life. So when a Mum is ready and able to start thinking about her own health and fitness there is now a 'Mum Review' that can help with assessing the key issues, and providing advice, strategies and exercises that can help you back on the road to recovery. It's time to be a better you. x
