Offering specialist physiotherapy treatment in Women's health and acupuncture. The clinic is based in Bromsgrove at the Wishing Well holistic health centre.
This is a relaxing and peaceful space to enjoy your treatment.
The philosophy is simple. Listen carefully to what you have to say, complete an extensive assessment and offer specialist treatments to help. Whether your condition is long-term, or a recent problem – don’t continue to accept this as normal. Be a better you.
It's a journey we take together
Pregnancy and delivery place a lot of demands on your body. If you birthed via a C-section these sessions will be great for you if you feel that your scar is restrictive or pulls during physical movement. The sessions can also help if you feel a disconnect with your abdomen, dislike being touched on the abdomen or feel like you struggle to connect with your core and pelvic floor since your section.
Acupuncture can be used as a fantastic treatment to help in the overall management of conditions such as; musculoskeletal pain, pelvic pain, incontinence, bowel complaints, insomnia and stress and anxiety. These conditions may arise as a result of an acute or long term problem.
If you are due to have a hysterectomy then I offer sessions that can help you with:
Pre-op planning, pelvic health assessment (if you would like this), how to move in the early days after your operation and lifestyle changes that can help before and after your operation
Post-op scar recovery work, exercise advice, lifestyle advice
Physiotherapy and Pregnancy
Pelvic girdle pain and low back pain is unfortunately a common problem in pregnancy, and can really impact on the enjoyment of your pregnancy and ability to continue with daily life.
Meet the Team
Bsc, MCSP, AACP
Steph qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from Coventry University in 2009 with a 1st class Honours degree. She went on to work for the NHS in a range of settings including; community physiotherapy, acute medical wards, rehabilitation, musculoskeletal clinics and women’s health.
Steph then completed additional professional qualifications and training to carry out acupuncture, to provide another hands on treatment option that can be so effective. Clients provide great feedback on how helpful this treatment can be as part of their therapy programme.
Working as a Senior Physiotherapist at Birmingham Women’s Hospital allowed Steph to develop a special interest in the areas of; female incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain and the treatment of pregnant and post-natal ladies. Further professional training in these specialist areas means she has developed great skills to make a difference to ladies who are having these issues interrupting how they lead their lives.
She is a busy Mum to two young children, spending days when not in clinic running about after them or doing last minute homework tasks. She understands the stresses that pregnancy can place upon your body and also how when your baby arrives the hard work really begins. When you are busy looking after your family it can be easy to overlook your own health issues.
Come in and see Steph so she can put together a great treatment package to help you get on the road to recovery.
